‘Chunk of Soap’-Herbal Tea With Lavender Essential Oil
Pure essential oils are a beautiful God-given natural gift. As those of us who have used and are acquainted with pure essential oils obtained from plant life, we know that they can naturally create a beautiful aroma to body creams and lotions, body soaps and so forth. Lavender pure essential oil is probably the most user friendly, and a favorite of everyone I seem to come in contact with when it concerns my body care products. The aroma appears to last for a long time within the product itself and I have discovered that it will keep your linen closet and cabinets smelling lovely. It is worth purchasing a chunk of Lavender soap just to freshen up your linen closet. I also especially like it because it is user friendly and I have found that it will not irritate my skin.
Along with the lovely natural Lavender essential oil aroma, this Chunk of Lavender Herbal Tea Soap includes luxury pure organic vegetable oils which include Palm Oil, Coconut Oil, Olive Oil and Jojoba Oil to moisturize your skin as it cleanses. The first thing I noticed when I started making and using my own pure vegetable oil soaps as compared with “synthetic, chemical detergent” body soaps commercially manufactured is that my hands felt smooth and silky.
On the other hand, Citrus essential oils such as pure Lemon, Grapefruit, Sweet Orange and so forth, while having an antiseptic quality, tend to loose their aroma at a much faster rate; while at the same time, are not as skin friendly for some people, especially those with fairer skin, so only a few drops per ounce is used in any formula. Also, you need to take into consideration that much of the pure essential oil aroma is lost from the heat generated after the saponification process takes place.
As with any purchase of any body care product whether it contains pure essential oils or not, whether it be a body or face cream, or body soap, be sure to test your product out on a small body surface area before using on a larger body area, known as a “patch test,” to be sure an allergic reaction does not occur because just because a product is “all natural and or organic” does not mean that an allergic reaction cannot occur. As with each individual’s unique skin chemistry, each pure essential oils has its own natural chemical makeup unlike any other.
Because sixty percent or more of what you put on your skin ultimately ends up in your bloodstream via your cells, you can never be too careful about what you put on your skin. It just makes good sense to read all labels and be aware of all the toxic ingredients that commercially manufactured body care products include in their ingredient list. A “natural” label on a product does not mean that a product is “organic”. In fact, multitudes of skin care products labeled “all natural” or “natural” contain toxic chemicals. Over-the-counter skin care and body care products’ manufacturers are counting on you not knowing the difference. I have included the definition of “organic” in this article. Essential Oils obtained from plants are a large part of my formula and are pure and/or organic. Here at ToniOrganics I take great satisfaction in knowing that no toxic or harmful preservatives, chemicals, fragrances or dyes have been incorporated into any of my products. Because I make all of my products myself, I know exactly what is put in each one. All of ToniOrganics’ products are primarily oil based originating from plants and herbs grown organically; and, unlike your over the counter manufactured skin moisturizers that for the most part are water based, water downed, and laced with toxic chemicals, my products will give a healthy glow and feel to your skin when used routinely in a matter of days. Lavender Oil, the Essential Oil extracted from the Lavandula or Lavender plant is one of the many natural fragrances I use in my products because it has a beautiful fragrance and is very user friendly. Lavender essential oil also has anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties, making it an ideal choice to include in my body creams and lotions.
Another favorite of mine that I often use in my body creams and lotions is Citris Sinensis or Sweet Orange Essential Oil, which is extracted from the peel of orange fruits and smells like the orange peels the oil is extracted from. Along with it’s delicious fragrance, Sweet Orange essential oil has antimicrobial and anti inflammatory effects, making it another wonderful natural choice to include in ToniOrganics skin cream creations. While the essential oils that I use in my products are for the most part user friendly, I always advise people to do a small skin patch test to make sure you are not allergic to any of the natural oils in your body creams before applying on a larger body area. While it is unlikely that an allergic reaction will occur, just because a product is organic and natural does not mean that an allergic reaction cannot occur and to always keep your products out of the reach of children and pets.

The skin benefits of unrefined or raw African Shea Body Butter pictured above on toniorganics are too numerous to mention here, but for starters, I will say that I personally think it is second to no other skin moisturizer and that is why, like the natural gel from the Aloe Vera plant, I use it in all of my skin care moisturizing products. I prefer to use raw Shea Butter versus refined Shea Butter because raw Shea Butter has not had it’s natural properties removed which occurs in the refining process.
The people of Africa have been using this same Shea Butter for centuries, and their beautiful looking skin is a testimony to the skin care benefits of Shea Butter. We in America are just starting to begin to realize what the Africans have know for centuries when it comes to Shea Butter. My Shea Butter that you see in the Shea Body Butter product pictured above came from Ghana in West Africa, is beige in color and has a pleasant smell to it that I love. The pure white Organic Coconut Oil and Organic green olive oil blended with the Shea Butter used to make this irresistible moisturizing body cream scented with pure Lemongrass and Sweet Orange oils contributes to the yellow-white color in the finished product. I have also added Green Tea and Juniper Berry Extracts.
The only draw back of Shea Butter is for people with allergies to nuts because this beautiful Shea Butter comes from the nuts of the African Shea tree Vitellaria paradoxa.
A superb skin moisturizer and conditioner, Shea Butter assists in retaining your skin’s elasticity and protects your skin from damage due to the sun and is also known for soothing chronic, persistent skin problems such as psoriasis and/ or eczema I have had people tell me that my Shea Butter products has relieved the itching from psoriasis and even decreased the size of patches on their skin.
Shea Butter easily absorbs into your skin. Among the many other things that Shea Butter is known for, but not limited to, is relieving extra dry skin conditions and soothing sunburned skin as it reduces the inflammation, and will not clog your pores, being extremely therapeutic in aiding to foster soft, glowing skin. It will make your skin feel wonderful all over.
For people on the go or for people who have not tried out this wonderful Shea Body Butter this cream also comes in a travel-trial size. Two ounce and four ounce jars are available also. All product orders and further inquiries can be sent to Toni.Organics@ymail.com
