For many people, the beautiful song “You Raise Me Up” by Josh Groban is about that special person in their life.
For me, this song has a spiritual meaning and is about Jesus and the love He has shown to me and every person on earth of all races and ethnic groups. John 3:16
He is my friend who sticks closer than a brother and will never leave or forsake me as He has declared in His Word. Hebrews 13:5
He raises me up so I can stand on mountains. Matthew 17:20.He raises me up to walk on stormy seas. Matthew 14:22-23. I am strong when I am on His shoulders. Isaiah 41:10
Here’s wishing all of my readers a most blessed and prosperous New Year
Isaiah 43:19 ” Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”
No one knows what our future will bring, but one thing is a definite certain; we can be sure who holds our future;
The New Year usually always brings us to think about new plans, new resolutions, new things we would like to have to make us happy, and so forth;
Let us not forget the One who holds our future, without whom we can do nothing,
And Jesus opened his mouth, and taught them saying:
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.
For Unto Us A Child Is Born~ Isaiah 9:6
How is your Christmas holiday season going so far? For me, I think one of the best ways to honor Jesus Christ during this holy season is to find joy in Him and be a blessing to others.
I hope and pray that all of us can embrace the season and be blessed with the simplicity of the birth of Christ and the meaning of His first coming into the world and not be pre-occupied with the material things that rob us our joy during the celebration of the coming of Jesus into the world to give us eternal life. John 3:16. Jesus is the greatest gift the world has ever received and without Him, there could be no Christmas.
I love listening to Christmas caroles which honor the Lord Jesus Christ this time of the year. My all time favorite is Handal’s Messiah Hallelujah Chorus
I also love what Ann Voskamp once said, which I believe is a good reminder to stay focused on Christ and rejoice in the holiness of the season:
“Being in a hurry. Getting to the next thing without fully entering the thing in front of me. I cannot think of a single advantage I’ve ever gained from being in a hurry. But a thousand broken and missed things, tens of thousands, lie in the wake of all the rushing…. Through all that haste I thought I was making up time. It turns out I was throwing it away.”
Merry Christmas, Everyone!!
