Loaf Of Oatmeal Body Soap
What you see in the above picture is a fresh loaf of Oatmeal body soap I just removed from the mold the soap was placed in to harden after saponification and cooked in the oven, or “hot process” soap making method.
The wonderful thing about Oatmeal is that it is not only a heart healthy food, but Oatmeal has superb skin care benefits. Is it any wonder oatmeal baths are a popular recommendation by health care practitioners for people with eczema, acne, skin rashes, chicken pox and more? Combined with this beautiful rustic looking Oatmeal body soap, which I made from organic Palm Oil, Organic Coconut Oil, pure Canola Oil, pure Caster Oil and pure Apricot Kernel Oil, which are superb skin moisturizers, are essential oils of Rosemary and Lavender. Together with these pure natural ingredients, Oatmeal body soap will assist in exfoliating dead skin cells and give your skin a natural looking glow and feel.
To keep your skin soft and smooth, we need to use healthy, non-toxic ingredients that moisturize our skin and one of the best ways to do this is with ToniOrganics Oatmeal Body Soap. Look for this Oatmeal Body Soap at the Corning, New York Summer Farm Market, where you will usually find me on Thusdays from 10:00 A.M. – 3:00 p.m. during the summer months.

Organic Sandalwood Body Soap
Traditionally used in meditation, it never crossed my mind to make a natural, organic body soap using pure Sandalwood essential oil until one of my favorite medical doctors mentioned it to me. I put it on my long list of requests, and again at a recent Corning, NY Summer Farm Market, a visitor browsing my organic homemade body care products, who calls himself D J Green Arrow asked for some Sandalwood Soap. D J Green Arrow said he lives in Brooklyn, and I could leave the soap in the mailbox at a Corning, NY address he gave me when it was ready. Because I now had two individuals who had requested this unusual, in my opinion. scent for a soap, I spent this past weekend whipping up a batch of saponified organic natural body soap scented with pure Sandalwood essential oil.
For those of you unfamiliar with Sandalwood Oil, it originates from the Sandalwood Tree, which is native to East India. A small evergreen tree that can grow up to 30 feet in height, the oil from the tree has a mild, subtle and woody scent; and is a very skin friendly oil that is suitable for all skin types, according to herbalists. Having a host of medicinal uses, it is known also for its many skin moisturizing effects; with natural antiseptic, anti inflammatory and astringent qualities, which makes Sandalwood oil beneficial for acne and eczema sufferers.
The Sandalwood Soap pictured above has a beautiful light tan color and a neutral aroma with the scent being very mellow and barely noticeable, which adds a unique charm to the soap.
As for D J Green Arrow, and one of my favorite medical doctors, they will have to wait for their soap as it now needs to cure for a minimum of six weeks. In the meantime, my doctor friend will, I am certain, keep himself very busy treating people in need of a doctor, and D J Green Arrow can keep himself busy rapping!
