Beeswax and Lip Balm belong together; that’s why I use beeswax in all of my lip balm. When you have dried out, chapped lips, you want to keep moisture in and that is exactly what beeswax does as it softens your chapped lips. Beeswax provides a non-pore clogging protective barrier against environmental abuses such as weather, destructive chemicals, and so forth while it softens your lips, making for an excellent lip moisturizer. According to botanical experts, beeswax also contains anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, making it a natural thing to use upon your lips. And while you’re at it, you can apply toniorganics beeswax lip balm on any chapped or sore areas on your body, such as your elbows and knees, to soothe these areas.
Besides beeswax, I usually use the wonderful skin softening oil from the Jojoba seed and Organic Olive Oil and add a little natural honey. I then spice it up with a few drops of pure cinnamon leaf and sweet orange essential oils, or spearmint, or peppermint. The choices are endless when it comes to essential oil combinations, but you have to be sure to use the right amount so as not to irritate your already chapped lips or body areas. A couple of drops is just the right amount!
