Toni Organics hard lotion bars, made with pure raw Shea Butter, organic Cocoa Butter and organic Coconut Oil and natural beeswax were a very popular item this past holiday season at the Corning, New York Winter Farmers Market. The lotion bar pictured is approximately three-quarters of an inch wide and two inches squared and weighs about 1.5 ounces. Many people were unfamiliar with the hard lotion bar, so I would like to take this time to share with you what a hard lotion bar is and how it works on your skin.
All of the ingredients in the hard lotion bar, except for the Sweet Orange Oil and Tocopherols (Vit. E) are solid at room temperature and when applied to the skin, your body temperature will cause the hard lotion to soften when it makes contact and melts in your skin. That’s basically it in a nutshell! You can apply it to your skin simply by gently rubbing it over any cracked or dry skin surfaces, or gently rub it in your hands. The great thing about using natural products such as these lotion bars is that you only need a small amount to do the job in moisturizing your rough and dry skin areas. The beeswax in these hard lotion bars leaves a fine protective coating over your skin while sealing in the shea butter and other ingredients for a longer lasting absorption.
Lightly scented with pure Sweet Orange essential oil, the hard lotion bar is a great asset to use in helping to protect and moisturize your hands and feet with cracked skin or very dry skin during the cold winter months and can be stored in a covered soap container when not in use.
